Actuarial Development Programme

Salary: £35,000
Length: 42 month programme

  • Apply maths and statistics to real world problems
  • Build financial models and apply actuarial techniques to analyse business problems
  • Use core economic principles 

Entry requirements:

2:1 in a numerical subject, at least 120 UCAS points using the 2017 UCAS Tariff System (this is equivalent to 300 UCAS points using the pre 2017 UCAS Tariff System)

A-Level (or equivalent) in Maths at grade B or above

What you’ll learn

This programme will equip you with both the business and technical skills you’ll need as you start your career. You’ll be given the opportunity to work with the firms we regulate to make them safer and sounder. As part of your role, you’ll learn to assess risks, prepare reports and hold firms accountable. You’ll also qualify as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. We’ll support you through your professional studies with study leave, funding for study and a salary increase as you progress on the Programme.

If you are successful in securing a place on this programme, you could be allocated to one of the following areas: Insurance or Prudential Policy Directorate.

Who we are looking for

We’re looking for someone who is about to graduate or has graduated in the last two years. You’ll need analytical skills and plenty of initiative, as well commitment to the role.
